Presa de la Olla

We stayed near the Presa de la Olla on the southeast side of Guanajuato.  The presa, or dam, was built in the 1740s to solve the city's water shortage (except when it flooded, but we'll get into the solution for that problem another day).  Paseo de la Presa apparently runs along the old riverbed and it's a nice road to walk on into the center of town because you skip the hills.  It's a lovely area and little more upscale than some other parts of town.
