Return to Sender

Return to SenderThis is children’s book about immigration in the US.  I liked it and thought it handled a lot of difficult issues well (although most of the bad guys were stereotypically bad, or turned out to be Republicans, even if they were somewhat redeemed).  I did think the story line with the mother was a touch over the top; she could have had fewer awful things happen to her without losing anything from the story.  But I’m always griping about that in books.  And no matter what, this is a good book for children about immigration.
