No, I'd never read this book before. I hardly needed to, since it's so popular. But I'd always thought it was rather dark and not what I wanted to read for Christmas. And reading it didn't change my mind. I know many, many people love it, and that's fine, so just let me not like it much. I don't think there are any specifically Christmas books that I do really like.

Hey - we can't all love Dickens :)
I do at least like A Tale of Two Cities. But other than that, I've never much liked Dickens.
