Apparently it's becoming an annual trend to not blog much in the summer. I guess I don't like to hang around on the computer so much then. I still need to write about all the quilt books I've been reading, and there are several other good books I've read recently. And I've been doing lots of family history. We've visited lots of cemeteries in the last few weeks.

And I'm still trying to decide on a Latin program.

  1. I don't know if you've already made a decision regarding Latin.. but, we used Latin for Children and really enjoyed it. I went with it based on recommendations on the WTM boards (I can't say it's the best of the choices out there because I haven't actually tried out any other programs to know if they were a better bet).

I liked having the DVD and the girls liked the songs and really enjoyed making Latin cards.

They were 10 and six when we did the program (just one year). I didn't expect my six year old to do the program, but she jumped right in. My 10 year old did learn more, but my little one learned a lot more than I thought she would.

I hope you are having a great summer. Happy 4th!

  2. I almost got Latin for Children, and if I didn't know Latin, I think I would have because everyone loves the DVDs. But I kept reading about all the mistakes and I didn't really want to spend that much money on the DVD since I don't need it.

I just got Minimus for now and then we'll see what we move on to. Minimus was an inexpensive was to start.

    Happy 4th to you too!
