I've always loved reading travel books and history books. That's been the only way I've gone to India, to Tibet, or been able to return to Cairo or Jerusalem.

But here in Bishkek, it's refreshing to read familiar classics like Little Women and Persuasion. Those books always take me to a different world, but it's far more noticeable here. When I get tired of the strangeness, it's nice to have a friendly old book on hand.

THAT is an interesting perspective. Maybe it's why I so enjoy reading Persian and Arab stories from the late ancients and early middle ages.

Don't forget to read online through online net libraries as hosted by Project Gutenberg or The Baldwin Project.

I'm so glad you are net-connected!
