Happy Mothers Day!

There are many things I could say about Mothers Day. But I won't. I'll simply say that I have a wonderful mother and even a wonderful mother-in-law. And that is something worth celebrating.

One thing I always did when I was raising my stepchildren is make sure they remembered their mother on Mother's Day. We always took her flowers and a card. It was one of the few things I did right when I was younger. They're good kids, despite all the mistakes.

Oh, and she always remembered me with a gift, too. We had our struggles, but we came to respect and love each other. She is one of my best friends. People think we're weird, but it's a good thing, really. Now that the kids are gone, we still keep in constant touch. We plant the tomatoes and she makes the salsa. It's a good plan.

I really hate being fussed over, though. Really. I would just as soon skip it, but my husband and daughter feel bad.

Amira, if you didn't see this persian architecture/fractal animated movie link at T&S, I wanted to be sure you didn't miss it.

It made a lovely finish to my mother's day.

I did see it, thank you Johnna. I didn't try it though because I have dial up and it will take forever to load. I'll need to do it when I have a long time to spend on the computer.

We'll just have to stop in Isfahan on the way to Kyrgyzstan. I have long wanted to go to Isfahan.
